The new USA Network series Fairly Legal has just premiered, starring actress Sarah Shahi. She portrays a lawyer at her late father's law firm who decides to become a mediator. The reviews so far are mixed, but many people are now curious about the actress herself, who is a relative unknown prior to this series. Her celebrities bio reveals an interesting history.
Sarah is a Texas native whose family is of Persian descent, with her father being born in Iran and later immigrating to the US. She earned a degree at Southern Methodist University, and later tried out and was accepted as a member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. She decided to move to Hollywood and try her luck as an actress, and after getting a few bit parts in several TV shows, she landed roles as one of the leads in a Showtime series The L Word, and as a homicide detective in the NBC series Life, before being selected for her current role in Fairly Legal.
